ServicesIn the Growth and Growth + Social plans
GEO agency in Singapore.
Generative engine optimisation (GEO) is getting your business named in AI answers. ChatGPT and Google's AI answers lean on what other sites say about you as well as on your own pages. We check who the assistants name for your buyers' questions, find the lists and sites they cite, and plan how you get onto them honestly.
What does GEO include?
A list of where to be mentioned
Built by asking ChatGPT and Perplexity your buyers' questions and recording the businesses and sources they name: the best-of lists, directories, review sites, publications and partner sites your buyers and the assistants already read, each with the reason it made the list.
Outreach targets, each with an angle
Named people and pages worth approaching, such as an industry figure who might contribute an article or a site that might link to you, each with a reason for them to say yes. You make the approach, so the relationship stays yours.
Social posts and community sites
Where a useful post or answer from you would be seen by buyers, and what it could say. You post it from your own account.
Pages built to be quoted
On the pages we write for you: a checkable fact in the first lines, question-shaped headings and Organization markup, so a page that gets mentioned can also be quoted.
How often
- Month one
- The questions agreed with you, the AI answer check behind the list, and the first list of places and people.
- Every month
- The list updated as new pages go live on your site, with an angle for each new target.
- With each report
- The updated list, and which targets are still open.
How does GEO work?
Ask the questions buyers ask
We put your buyers' questions to ChatGPT and Perplexity several times each, because the answers move. In our October 2026 study, ChatGPT's first pick changed at least once for 50 of 54 questions asked 10 times each.
Trace the sources
Most answers cite their sources. In the first three runs of the same study, 460 of ChatGPT's 803 citations were business websites, and 1,311 of Perplexity's 3,109 were best-of lists. Your own site and those lists are the places worth being on.
Find the gaps
The lists, directories and sites that name your competitors and leave you out become the first targets.
Give them a reason
A mention has to earn its place: a clear answer, a guide, a free tool or a real result that the site's readers would want.
GEO, AEO or AI SEO?
GEO
Generative engine optimisation: getting your business named in answers written by ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini.
AEO
Answer engine optimisation: being the page an engine lifts a direct answer from, including Google's AI Overviews.
AI SEO
The name most agencies use for both, done alongside ordinary Google SEO. All three come down to the same work: a readable site, pages that answer questions, and mentions elsewhere.
What do you approve?
- The questions we check, before we run them.
- The list of places and people, before anyone is approached.
- Anything that goes out in your name. You send it, from your own account.
- Every change to your pages, like any other page we write.
What does the monthly report show?
- The updated list of places and people, and which targets are still open.
- The pages we wrote to be quoted that month, with links, beside your Search Console numbers for the searches we agreed.
What is included, and what is left out?
Included
- The research behind the list: your buyers' questions checked in ChatGPT and Perplexity.
- The list of where to be mentioned, outreach targets with an angle for each, and where a social post or community answer would help.
- The on-page work that lets AI answers quote the pages we write for you.
Left out
- Buying links, paid placements or paid reviews.
- Sending outreach or posting in communities on your behalf. You make each approach.
- Fake accounts, or posts that hide who wrote them.
- Week-by-week tracking of AI answers.
- A promised mention or citation. The site, the list's editor or the assistant decides.
What happened for our first client?
Lullaflex had no website and a domain rating of 0 when we started building its site in May 2026. We wrote pages that state the facts buyers ask about, and built a free bedroom planner people link to. On 26 July 2026 ChatGPT listed Lullaflex Hybrid Latex under “Best for Singapore”, and on 3 October 2026 Ahrefs recorded lullaflex.com as a cited source in 34 AI answers.
Several changes overlapped, so we do not say which one caused it. The case study has every date.

Which services does it work best with?
In Ahrefs' study of about 75,000 brands, how often a brand was mentioned on the web and on YouTube tracked its visibility in ChatGPT and Google's AI answers far more closely than its backlink strength. That is a correlation, which the authors point out, so it supports the direction without promising a result (the study). Our own figures come from the October 2026 study of AI recommendations for Singapore businesses, and how GEO relates to SEO is in GEO vs AEO vs SEO. It pairs with Reddit research and the content we film with you.
Frequently asked questions
- Which plans include it?
- Growth and Growth + Social.
- What are GEO and AEO, and do I need them?
- They are names for getting your business cited in AI answers such as ChatGPT and Google's AI Overviews. We treat them as part of SEO, because the same clear, factual pages win both.
- Is this link building?
- Partly. Some mentions come with a link, and links still help Google. We never buy them. Whether a site links to you is that site's decision.
- Will you post on Reddit or forums as us?
- No. We read Reddit and forums to learn the questions buyers ask and the words they use. In our study, forums and social posts were 2 of ChatGPT's 803 citations, so for us they are mainly a research source. If a community is worth answering in, you post from your own account.
- Will you do the outreach for us?
- We prepare it: who to approach, why they might say yes and what you can offer them. You make the approach from your own email or LinkedIn, so the relationship is yours to keep.
- How soon does this show up in ChatGPT?
- There is no fixed timeline. AI answers update on their own schedules and differ between sessions, so we date every check we run and treat one answer as one data point.
- Does domain rating (DR) matter?
- Domain rating is Ahrefs' estimate of the strength of a site's backlinks. Our first client started at DR 0 and was recommended by ChatGPT within two months, so a low rating does not stop you being found for specific questions.
