For medical and specialist clinics
Does ChatGPT recommend your clinic?
We asked ChatGPT and Perplexity to recommend a clinic in Singapore three hundred times, across dental, aesthetic and physiotherapy questions. In all three, few of the websites ChatGPT linked to were on Google's first page.

What ChatGPT and Perplexity said
We asked both assistants five questions a patient in Singapore would ask for each kind of clinic, ten times each: 100 answers per row, on 5 and 6 October 2026.

For clinics, ranking on Google and being named by an assistant are separate jobs. Patients ask about a treatment, a condition or a price before they ask for a clinic, and a clinic with a page for each is what both Google and the assistants can point to.

- Client work
- Lullaflex, a Singapore mattress brand, came to us with no website. Within two months of us building it, ChatGPT was recommending it by name.
- Same tool
- The free checker here is the one we run on client work. Run it yourself.
- Singapore only
- We work one market, so the searches we target are the ones your customers type here.
What we found on one clinic's website
In September 2026 we checked the website of a well-reviewed Singapore dental group with two clinics. Every page on it told Google not to list it. One setting had been left on after the site was built, and because the pages looked normal to patients, nobody had noticed. Google had none of its pages, so the clinic's Instagram outranked its own website for its dentist's name.
The Book button on its Google Maps listing opened a web address that no longer existed. When the site was open to Google again in October, the testimonials on it were still the sample names from the website template.
None of this shows from the outside. It is what we check first on every clinic site, before writing a single new page.
The work, in the order we do it.
This is the sequence, and each step is only worth doing once the one above it is done.
Fix what stops the site being read
Titles, descriptions, canonical links, sitemap and crawler access. Unglamorous, and nothing else works until it is done. This is where we start on every site because it is where the free wins are.
Merge the pages competing with each other
Most sites have two or three pages chasing the same search, so they split the signal and none of them win. We find those and consolidate them into one page that can.
Build one page per search
A page for each thing customers actually type, answering that one question properly. On our own client work this is what moved the numbers.
Make the business machine-readable
Business type, location, services and opening hours marked up so Google can place you in local results and AI assistants have something concrete to quote.
Wire the pages to support each other
Internal links so a new page inherits some of the standing of the pages you already have, instead of starting from nothing.
Tell search engines the moment something changes
New and updated pages are submitted automatically rather than waiting to be discovered, so a fix counts in days instead of weeks.
Report against a checker you can run yourself
The same audit you were sent, re-run every month. Progress is a number you can verify yourself.
One thing to be clear about
Google rankings move on Google's timetable, not ours, and this is months of work before the numbers move. If you need customers this week, spend that budget on ads first and come back to us after.
Frequently asked questions
- Do you write within MOH's advertising rules?
- Yes. Clinic advertising in Singapore is regulated under the Healthcare Services Act, including what can be said about reviews and testimonials, so treatment pages stick to facts: what the treatment is, who performs it and what it costs. You approve every page before it goes live.
- Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend us?
- No. ChatGPT and Perplexity decide what they say, and in our study ChatGPT's first pick changed between asks for most questions. We guarantee the work instead: if the pages we agree for a month are not live by the end of that month, we refund that month's fee.
- How long before anything changes?
- Google usually takes months. AI answers can move sooner: ChatGPT was recommending our first client, Lullaflex, within two months of us building its website.
- How do we know the work is actually happening?
- You approve every page before it goes live. The monthly report lists every page we changed or published, with links, and your Search Console numbers for the searches we agreed. The free checker on this site is the same one we run on client work, so you can check your own site whenever you like.
